Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Assembler to work onsite in our Wilmington, MA location who can perform assembly of diversified, complex electro/mechanical equipment. Our electronics assembler works from drawings, procedures, samples, and verbal instructions using a variety of hand and machine tools to produce components according to specifications and customer orders. Electronics assemblers with through hole and surface mount soldering skills are highly desirable.

This position will follow all procedures required to review and maintain quality control and assurance of products and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. You must be organized, methodical and focused to be successful in this position.


Responsibilities:

-Assembles electrical components according to engineering specifications:

  • Controllers for lamp pulse.
  • Build and modifies control boards.
  • Builds trigger boxes.
  • Builds lamp housings.
  • Assemble test cables.
  • Plenum wiring and assembly.
  • Soldering boards.

-Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documents, and builds to specifications.

-Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

-Maintains logs, records, and reports pertaining to final products.

-Monitor parts and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.

-Repairs customer RMA as needed.

-Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Soldering skills, assembly skills.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to read shop math and assembly drawings.
  • Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Self-motivated to keep busy during production lull with minimal to no supervision.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Must wear gloves and ear protection, and other safety equipment as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
