Summary

Job Title: Electrical Validation Engineer, Camera Hardware

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)


Job Summary:

  • The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, test, and innovation of camera hardware for all related products.
  • Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware to enable best-in-class camera user experience.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, high energy individual who can help us with tomorrow’s challenges.


Major responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new camera technology robustness to RF noise.
  • Build up and own RF susceptibility characterization methodology and SOP.
  • Define electromagnetic validation plan and test cases for camera sub-system, modules and components.
  • Conduct EM characterization, measure thresholds for failure modes, analyze image data, and provide feedback to design team for design improvements .
  • Interact with x-functional teams for in-system integration and performance test (e.g de-sense, co-existence) failure analysis and solution implementation.


Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and related RF/coexistence challenges.
  • Great EE fundamentals and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable with EE test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting languages, Python or Matlab, for instrumentation automation and data collection/analysis.
  • Knowledge of high speed interfaces (e.g MIPI, LVDS, DisplayPort), power supplies (Linear & switching), and their relationships to de-sense / co-existence.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.


Preferred skillset

  • Knowledge of image sensors and camera module hardware
  • Cellular/Wireless awareness: 5G, LTE, BT, WiFi, UWB, NFC, etc.
  • Knowledge of CST or Ansys EM simulation tools
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD & Cadence


Education:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or industrial experience equivalent.
