Requirements For This Electrical Utility Estimator Job
To be successful as a Full-Time Electrical Utility Estimator at Nooter Construction, a range of skills and knowledge is essential. You should possess a solid understanding of estimating databases such as Accubid, NECA, ConEst, and others. The ability to perform conceptualized estimates during schematic design, design development, and construction document phases is critical.
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills will enable you to work effectively with project managers and engineers. Proficiency in reading blueprints is necessary, along with strong computer skills, especially in the MS Office Suite. You should be adaptable and eager to learn new software as needed.
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Engineering (Contracting Engineer) or a relevant combination of technical training and experience is required. Candidates should also have 2-5 years of estimating experience in the electrical construction industry and be prepared for 10-20% local travel to project sites, ensuring hands-on involvement.
