We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with proven hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of 22kV Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and dry/oil-type transformers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance of 22kV GIS switchgears, including SF6 gas handling, contact inspections, interlock testing, and insulation resistance measurements.
• Conduct servicing, oil filtration, and testing of oil-filled transformers, as well as inspection and cleaning of dry-type transformers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in MV electrical systems, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Assist in high-voltage testing procedures such as insulation resistance testing, transformer turns ratio (TTR) tests, and contact resistance measurement.
• Adhere to electrical safety standards and isolation procedures (LOTO).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, test results, and equipment conditions.
• Support commissioning and decommissioning activities of MV equipment as required.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all work activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the maintenance of 22kV GIS switchgears and dry/oil-type transformers.
• In-depth knowledge of medium-voltage systems, SF6 gas safety handling, and transformer maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manufacturer manuals.
• Familiarity with relevant testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Candidates with a valid Kahramaa License will be given preference.
