Summary

Senior Radio Frequency Engineer.

Position Summary

Agile RF Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to lead innovative active electronically steered antenna design projects. This individual will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and testing of advanced antenna technologies for Department of Defense and Commercial/Civil Space applications. With expertise in phased array-based radar systems, satellite communication phased arrays, and large space deployable antennas, this position requires a highly skilled RF engineer with extensive experience in antenna design and RF system analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Antenna Design and Simulation:

  • Lead full wave modeling and simulation using CST or similar tools.
  • Develop and analyze small and large antenna array radiators.
  • Design multilayer printed circuit board RF transitions to optimize performance.

Testing And Data Analysis

  • Conduct Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) testing to validate antenna designs.
  • Perform antenna testing using far-field and near-field methods.
  • Post-process test data to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.

Technical Documentation And Reporting

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation.

System-Level Analysis And Integration

  • Conduct system-level analysis and testing of radar and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF components into larger systems.

Qualifications

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in RF engineering, antenna design, or a related field.
  • Expertise in full-wave electromagnetic simulation tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Matlab, Python, or C for RF system analysis and simulation.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout and multilayer RF transitions.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and as a self-starter.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotic near-field range antenna testing.

  • Familiarity with radomes and radar cross-section measurements.
  • Knowledge of satellite communication systems and space deployable antennas.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some travel may be required for project meetings, testing, or customer support.

Compensation

The compensation for this position ranges between $100,000 and $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
