Piper Companies is seeking an
Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to work
100% onsite in Morrisville, NC for a well-established telecommunications company. This role involves working with a diverse range of telecommunications products, with a primary focus on circuit design at the PCB level and integration of chassis-level systems
Responsibilities of the Electrical Hardware Design Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with Telecom principles and standards.
- Hands-on experience with test and debug tools.
- Ability to work independently and with multi-discipline, multi-site teams.
Qualifications for the Electrical Hardware Design Engineer :
- Expertise in TDM, POTS, ATM, T1/E1, SONET, NEBS.
- Experience with embedded processor systems and real-time computing.
- Proficiency in power, thermal, and signal integrity design and testing.
- Knowledge of PCB layout, stack up, and design rule checking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with design for testability.
- Ability to support production hardware products and customer service groups.
- Proficiency with tools such as Cadence Concept/Orcad/Allegro, Verilog, VHDL, Oracle Agile, and Windows Office 365.
Compensation for the Electrical Hardware Design Engineer:
Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 + bonus.
