Commercial Electrical Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator with Accubid experience to join our commercial group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical construction projects, ensuring profitability and competitiveness. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, including low and medium voltage applications. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical projects
• Utilize Accubid software to generate estimates and project budgets
• Analyze project documents, including blueprints and specifications, to determine scope of work
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and timelines
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing
• Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes in scope or costs
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in a commercial construction environment
• Strong proficiency with Accubid or similar estimating software
• Knowledge of low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
