Purpose: Support overall estimating activities across multiple project pursuits. In this role, the estimator will support the estimating and project management group(s) to deliver a quality proposal on time and in alignment with project scope of work documents.
Work Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Essential Job Functions (must Possess The Ability To)
May include but not limited to:
Develop cost estimates from take‐off stage to bid hand‐off.
Able to work with industry standard estimating software
Develop cost estimates for change orders.
Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project.
Attends pre‐bid and scope review meetings.
Computes and submit bids to estimate team
Reading & thoroughly understanding drawings and specifications.
Meets with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers.
Visually inspects project locations to determine the amount of labor and materials needed to do the work.
Contacts vendors for pricing if needed to support procurement team.
Assesses the costs of leasing equipment.
Maintains the change order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner. Works with the project team to develop this standard.

Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Two (2) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial electrical projects.
Familiar with electrical codes and industry standards
Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and management
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and ability to read and understand complex electrical drawings and specifications.
Physical Requirements
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
See well (naturally or with correction)
Eye-hand coordination
Good physical fitness
Good sense of balance

Environment: Most work time is spent in an office. Site visits to facilities can be dusty, dirty, noisy and occasionally hazardous. Work is often performed under pressure and stress, especially when facing completion deadlines.
Salary: $60 - $95 per year
