London Weighting Allowance

🕘 Working Hours: Between 7:00am and 4:00pm (shifts within this timeframe)

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to join the team in South London. This is a great opportunity to be part of the leading provider of industrial, medical, and specialist gases for UK and Ireland. The business plays a key role in everyday life, from keeping food fresh and supporting hospitals to powering research and helping industry cut emissions.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of a busy manufacturing site, where we produce high-quality gas cylinders used across sectors like food production, pharmaceuticals, and academia.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing, maintaining, and commissioning plant and equipment across the cylinder filling site
  • Troubleshooting and fixing faults, always working safely and following environmental and operational procedures
  • Taking a lead on planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with the production and engineering teams, as well as contractors
  • Using your electrical and instrumentation skills to help improve site performance and reliability
  • Making sure all work meets our high standards for health, safety, quality, and the environment


What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who is hands-on, methodical, and a good team player. Here’s what will help you succeed in this role:

  • A Level 4 Apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
  • ATEX qualified and experienced working in explosive atmosphere environments
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing, engineering, or scientific setting (this is a bonus but not essential)
  • Confident using APEX systems – this is a must-have
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, and ideally familiar with SAP
