Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Engineer II or III)

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of exclusive experience in the medical device industry to join their fast-paced and innovative R&D team. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in hands-on technical work and technical report writing, rather than leadership or managerial responsibilities.

You will report to the Electrical Lead and play a critical role in the integration of a newly acquired company that specializes in active implantable devices, including implantable pulse generators, neuromodulation systems, and urology technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret complex electrical schematics and test data with precision.

Perform hands-on lab testing to support device integration and development.

Author detailed, logical, and technically sound reports that support engineering decisions and regulatory documentation.

Work closely with a collaborative team of 15 engineers on a pulse generator project, as part of a broader integration initiative involving over 75 professionals.

Contribute to the design, validation, and integration of class III active implantable medical devices in a regulated environment.

Requirements:

3–5 years of engineering experience in the medical device industry is required—no exceptions.

Proven ability to read and assess electrical schematics and lab test data.

Demonstrated experience writing clear, structured, and technically accurate engineering reports.

Skilled in hands-on lab testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Must be able to work onsite in Irvine, CA three days per week as part of a hybrid schedule.

Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably with implantable or neuromodulation devices, is strongly preferred.
