Our new Design & Build Business Unit is a dedicated team focused on delivering complete, integrated infrastructure solutions from initial concept through to operational handover. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of infrastructure delivery from the ground up.

What Impact You Will Have

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in BMS and intelligent infrastructure systems to join our fast-growing Design & Build team. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of power and control systems across innovative data center projects. You will work closely with mechanical, structural, and controls teams to deliver cohesive, high-performance systems that meet the highest standards of efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.

What You’ll Do

• Design, model, and specify electrical distribution systems for data centers, including LV and MV systems.
• Lead the integration of Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and SCADA platforms with Submer’s infrastructure.
• Coordinate power distribution for critical loads including IT, HVAC, and liquid cooling systems.
• Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, load calculations, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure alignment between electrical systems, liquid cooling infrastructure, and architectural and MEP designs.
• Conduct system commissioning, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests) for BMS and electrical systems.
• Support the development of control philosophies, sequence of operations (SOO), and smart energy optimization strategies.
• Participate in value engineering, risk assessments, and sustainability reviews.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design for mission-critical or high-tech buildings (data centers preferred).
• Deep knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), controls integration, and smart infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with electrical planning tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, EPLAN, or similar.
• Understanding of Spanish regulations and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English with global experience is required.
