An international automation systems manufacturer in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support their projects. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with industrial electrical control systems (PLC) and have experience designing electrical systems and configuring hardware for external clients on a project basis.

This is a full time and direct hire position with an excellent benefits package (health/vision/dental insurance, 401k options. The salary range for this role is between $100,000 – 120,000, dependent on level of experience with industrial conveyor systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per client specifications
• Collaborate with client, mechanical engineering, and production teams to design controls for large-scale automated conveyor systems
• Control panel design, including GUI (graphical user interface) design based on client requirements, developing PLC programs, and selection of manufacturing methods
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings for electrical requirements
• Travel to customer sites facilities to supervise control system construction and installation, and provide technical support for modifications and troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or similar related field
• 3+ years of experience with automotive conveyors
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC)
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed for project deadlines
