POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Designer will play a critical role in the development of electrical systems for all project types. You will work closely with team members to design power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems in accordance with client needs, applicable codes, and project budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop electrical system designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Coordinate with team members
  • Perform lighting calculations and layout design
  • Assist with code research and ensure designs are compliant with NEC, energy codes, and local requirements
  • Attend project meetings and site visits as required
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents and shop drawing reviews
  • Help develop load calculations, panel schedules, riser diagrams, and circuiting
  • Maintain accurate documentation and revision control throughout the design process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of relevant electrical design experience in the MEP industry
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Attention to detail and a passion for high-quality design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Familiarity with energy code compliance (IECC, ASHRAE)
  • EIT certification or on path to obtaining PE license is a plus
