Position: Electrical Design Engineer – Solar

Academic Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience Required: 9 years to 15 years

Location: Chennai

Software Exposure: AutoCAD, Google Sketch-up,PVsyst, Dulux, ETAP,etc..

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Must have good knowledge of solar power plant designing concept.
• Preparation of Report – PVsyst Report, Shadow Analysis using Google Sketchup, Lighting Analysis System, Substation Design report, Overall Solar plant Design Basic report, ect..
• Preparation of All the Technical Specification Documents ( SCB, UPS, Battery, HT&LT Cables, Transformer, Inverter, HT panel, etc.,)
• Electrical System Sizing – String Sizing , DC & AC Cable Sizing, Transformer Sizing, Cable Tray & Conduit Sizing, UPS, Battery, Auxiliary Transformer, Earthing design, Lightning Arrester design, Lighting Design calculation, HT and LT Panel Bus Bar and Bus Duct Sizing, etc.,
• Preparation of Single Line Diagrams – Low Voltage & Medium and High voltage SLD, Auxiliary Power system SLD, UPS Distribution Board SLD & Plant Lighting SLD etc.,
• BOQ Preparation and interaction with Procurement and Vendor
• Good knowledge of applicable Indian and international standards.
• Preparation of Layouts – Solar field – Overall PV Array, Cable routing, Earthing, Lighting & Lightning Arrester Layouts, PCU Room Layout–Equipment, Cable routing, Earthing & Lighting Layout etc.,
