A highly successful power supplies business is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to have a stake in the continued evolution of the company. You will play a key role transitioning from 2D AutoCAD to SolidWorks for schematics and 3D Geometry.

Requirements

• Strong background as an Electrical Engineer
• SolidWorks Electrical
• AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring regulations
• Awareness of mechanical design integration and familiarity with 3D modelling
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, BOM structures, and documentation best practices

Bonus

• Experience in control panel design and wiring schematics

Role

• Be apart of the role transitioning from 2D AutoCAD to SolidWorks for schematics and 3D Geometry.
• Take customer requirements and translate them into detailed specifications
• Design and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software and systems engineers to integrate full control systems
• Support the development of vendor relationships, ensuring quality and adherence to specs
• Produce high-quality documentation including BOMs, layouts, and electrical calculation
• Present and discuss design ideas with both internal teams and suppliers
• Contribute to ongoing product development by addressing complex design challenges
