Virginia Controls, LLC designs and fabricates a wide and modern range of elevator & escalator controllers and related control products. We (VC) are looking to add to our Engineering team by filling a position that requires an Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BET) background with an emphasis in Control & Automation. We are open to considering new graduates for this role.

The person filling this position would:

• Have a working understanding of AC & DC control circuits.
• Utilize VC’s design library for the fabrication of elevator controllers.
• Be familiar with or able to learn VFAC motor drives and P.L.C.’s.
• Possess hardware or software configuration skills – either or both.
• Use AutoCAD in the electrical design and production of controllers.
• Have Microsoft Word & Excel abilities along with VBA, or willingness to learn.
• Interface with Assembly, Test & Sales personnel, and the Customer/User.
• Be part of a design team that advances the range & quality of VC’s products.

Additionally:

• Embedded programming skills and/or literacy in micro-electronics is a plus.
• Likewise, is the learning/using of ERP and/or a Database skill set.
