🔧 Senior EC&I Engineer

Location: UK (Project-based)

Industry: Nuclear / Regulated Industries

Reporting to: Principal Engineer

Team Support: Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, Operations, Project Managers, Designers, Support Functions

🎯 Purpose of Role

Lead the electrical and control (EC&I) engineering elements of complex machine design and build projects within a highly regulated environment — from concept through to manufacturing, testing, and handover. Manage EC&I deliverables, ensuring integration with mechanical design and full project scope delivery.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead EC&I design from concept to validation.
• Ensure outsourced designs meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Review sub-contractor documentation and specifications.
• Coordinate closely with design engineers, suppliers, and clients.
• Provide technical input for tender returns and estimates.
• Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and final project sign-off.
• Assist with scheduling, resource allocation, and change control.

📌 Qualifications & Experience

• HNC/HND or Degree (BEng/MSc) in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional registration (EngTech, IEng, or CEng).
• Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong technical understanding of machine EC&I integration.
• Familiarity with GDPR, safety standards, and compliance frameworks.
