Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of outdoor high-mast lighting installations, remedial works, and minor electrical projects across the UK. You’ll manage subcontractors, ensure compliance and safety, and coordinate site activity. Experience in sourcing and managing specialist labour is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-mast lighting installation projects from planning to completion
Coordinate and manage subcontractors for safe, high-quality, and timely delivery
Source specialist labour where required
Conduct site surveys and produce RAMS
Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and working-at-height safety standards
Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers
Oversee remedial works and scheduled/reactive maintenance
Requirements
Electrical Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2)
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
Certifications & Cards
ECS Gold Card or equivalent
CSCS (if applicable)
City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) – desirable
Experience
5+ years in electrical contracting
Strong track record in outdoor/high-mast lighting projects
Experienced in managing subcontractors and project delivery
Familiar with CDM regulations and site H&S compliance
Comfortable managing national projects across multiple sites
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Willing to travel and stay away as required
Familiarity with project/job management systems is a plus
