As we scale up from pilot to our first commercial facility, we’re looking for a hands-on Electrical & Automation Engineer to help build, implement and maintain the control systems for our industrial processes. This is a unique opportunity to build our automation systems from the ground up and be part of the transition to full-scale production.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Automation & Control Implementation

• Program and configure PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider) to automate process equipment.
• Design and test automation logic based on specifications from process and R&D engineers.
• Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain automation systems as production ramps up.
• Modify PLC logic and automation systems based on operational feedback.

Electrical Design Support

• Collaborate on the design and integration of electrical components for automated systems.
• Work with hardware vendors and partners to integrate automation hardware on site.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with our R&D, production, and maintenance teams to improve uptime, reliability and automation efficiency.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly across the team.
• Stay up to date with trends in automation and electrification, and bring new ideas to the table.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards.
• Promote a culture of safe and sustainable engineering practices.

This role is perfect for someone who loves problem-solving, enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams, and wants to push the boundaries of sustainable innovation.

🎯 Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing, programming, and maintaining automation systems.
• Proficient in PLC programming (e.g. Schneider, Siemens) and control systems.
• Able to translate control logic into working software and troubleshoot issues independently.
• Comfortable working hands-on on site when needed.
• Strong communicator, collaborative, and proactive.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Passionate about sustainability and excited to help build something from scratch.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with SCADA systems or HMI design.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
• Familiarity with industrial power and electrical systems.
• Experience in scale-up environments or cross-functional startup teams.
