Electrical Assistant Project Manager - Commercial/Industrial
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Managers in overseeing and managing commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while effectively managing resources and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical projects from planning through execution and closing phases.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Estimating change orders, monitor project progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and any issues that arise.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Facilitate procurement processes for project materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Preferred, 1+ years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or APM in the electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with procurement processes is a plus.
