Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Electronics Technician based in Dallas, TX to support our product design and engineering team on a part time basis. This is a flexible contract role, ideal for someone experienced in prototyping, soldering, and interpreting electrical schematics and PCB layouts. You’ll support physical builds, component-level troubleshooting, and refinement of electronic assemblies, and testing. Ideal Canditiate is a undergrand or graduate electrical engineer, someone looking for entry level postions or somone who has previous industry experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layouts
  • Work with Gerber files for build preparation and troubleshooting
  • Perform soldering, including SMD and through-hole (BGA rework a plus)
  • Operate hot air rework tools and lab bench equipment
  • Support prototyping, testing, and small-batch hardware builds
  • Assist with mechanical assembly and integration
  • Collaborate with the design team to improve performance and reliability

Requirements:

  • Must be based in Dallas, TX and available for remote or on-site work
  • Proven experience working with schematics, PCB layouts, and Gerber files
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, rework, and prototype builds
  • Familiarity with electronics lab tools (e.g., multimeters, reflow stations)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Altium Designer (a plus, not required)
  • Background in hardware prototyping, product testing, or design-for-manufacturing

Schedule:

  • Project-based work with pre-scheduled on-site days
  • Flexible hours depending on project needs
  • Most work can be done at your prefered place of work.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Per diem contract (1099)


Job Type: Contract

Expected hours: 5 – 35 per week
