Title: EHS Manager
Location: Buffalo, NY
Founded in the 1970s we are a mid-sized hydraulics manufacturer. Our headcount has increased over 8% the past 2 years as we continue to expand our product line and gain market share in our space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS best practices and compliance requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.
- Stay updated on EHS regulations and best practices, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing EHS training programs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certification in Industrial Hygiene or related fields is a plus.
