GFL is looking to hire an EHS Coordinator to join our team based out of Baytown TX The Health and Safety Coordinator will work alongside the health and safety team and be responsible for completing various administrative duties such as entering data into excel spreadsheets, data analysis and reporting, scheduling along with clerical work. What's in it for you: * Comprehensive Benefits Plan including prioritized orthodontics and vision care * 401K matching and profit sharing * Employee Assistance Program, life insurance, and more! * Paid time off * Competitive wages * Growth opportunities What you'll do: * Develop Health and safety stats and trending analysis * Update safety metrics and administer Safety Incident Tracking database weekly. * Performs data entry to ensure quality on incident tracking systems, monitor and set for approval, create reports. * Standardize and develop PowerPoint presentations. * Provide support and administrative assistance to the health and safety team. * Communicate information to employees regarding health and safety policies and procedures. * Prepare detailed statistical trend analysis and develop reports and presentations including the preparation of graphs and charts. * Responsible for communication on safety bulletin boards and developing other means of communication. * Processing invoices and creating P. O's. * Electronic filing to be done daily keeping up with all trackers to ensure the correct information is available to all members of the team. * Processing and finalizing reports to be completed in a timely matter. * Manage Safety training Matrix. * Assist in safety audits and any applicable compliance. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and What's required: * Degree or Diploma in health and safety or equivalent education and experience. Safety Compliance experience would be an asset. * 1-3 years' experience as an EHS professional or in a related role. * Comprehensive/working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards. * Willing to travel, Driver's License required. * Strong computer proficiency including MS Office, power point, excel and computer databases. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. * Self-starting proactive individual who can work well independently and in a team environment. Attention to detail. * Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines. * Proven ability to work independently in a busy and varied environment. * Energetic, goal oriented, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
