Summary

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.


Role:


Conduct necessary EFA(Electrical Failure Analysis) activities on various yield issues for real products in NPI stage and early technology development using testchip.


Job Responsibilities:


  1. Deep dive for ATPG low yield issue, work with PE/INT for root cause and prevention.
  2. Jointly work with customer for test program bring-up, and support on-tester debug analysis.
  3. Execute diagnosis and collaborate with EDA vendor for product/ testchip DFT enhancement and test time reduction.


Job Qualifications:


  1. Master or PhD degree in EE or CS.
  2. 10+ years of working experience in DFT (design for test) field or semiconductor EFA/PFA for yield issues.
  3. Hands-on experience on ATPG DFT flow, ATPG scan pattern generation, design sign-off, and test pattern bring-up and debug.
  4. Experience on using ATE (93K/uflex) for pattern bring-up/debug, with script language (tcl/perl) programming.
  5. Experience on Mentor SSN, Synopsys Yield Explorer and chiplet/3DIC test experience are plus.
  6. Good at Mandarin and English communication.
