REQUIREMENTS• High school diploma or equivalent• Passing score on the paraprofessional exam• Early Childhood Education staff will be required to hold the minimum ECE units before the end of their first year. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work collaboratively with peers, students, parents, community, and agency partnersDESIRED• Minimum one-year experience working with children in a school setting • One of the following:o Associate's degree or higher, 48 semester units of higher education• Training in effective crisis intervention techniques • Training or knowledge in areas of autism, speech, child development, or other special needs• Certification in CPR and First Aid
