Are you passionate about educational equity?

Brightlane Learning is hiring several part-time Education Support Coordinators to support academic programming for students experiencing homelessness and housing instability. These positions are ideal for individuals with experience working with youth who are looking to grow their impact in a supportive, mission-driven environment.


You’ll start by leading tutoring sessions and supporting site logistics. As you gain experience and demonstrate mastery in the role, there may be opportunities to grow into full-time, salaried positions with added responsibilities over time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Brightlane Learning programming at your assigned school or shelter site, including student intake and tutoring coordination.
  • Develop Personalized Learning Plans based on academic needs and input from caregivers, teachers, and partners.
  • Provide basic educational case management, helping families navigate education-related challenges.
  • Communicate regularly with volunteer tutors, support their work, and ensure students have access to high-quality learning materials.
  • Enter student and tutor data into program systems weekly and help maintain organized, welcoming tutoring environments.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and special events throughout the year.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with youth (paid or volunteer).
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practices and a desire to support families facing systemic barriers.
  • Strong communication, time management, and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and comfort learning new data systems.
  • Reliable transportation required.

  • Team Player – Collaborates respectfully with caregivers, tutors, and fellow ESCs to support student success.

Pay: From $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
