About The Role

We are seeking someone passionate and capable to lead the MSN team in achieving key objectives. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to shape MSN's vision and solidify its place in the digital news industry, while ensuring operational efficiency. Additionally, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, factually accurate editorial content.

What You Will Do

• Manages the newsroom and oversees the production of news stories and teams
• Makes critical decisions on which stories to cover and to prioritize coverage
• Oversee social media channels of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to widen readership base
• Be familiar with measurement and reporting data to curate content that caters to reader’s demands
• Managing and leading a team of journalists and content creators
• Planning and assigning news coverage
• Editing and revising news stories
• Collaborating with other departments such as sales, project management teams
• Ensuring timely publications
  
  

The Successful Candidate Should Have

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in a current affairs and news
• Experience in managing teams for at least 4 years
• Has experience with new media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Proven familiarity with SEO and social media best practices
• Eye for detail and critical thinking
• Versatile - able to adapt to our house style
• Meticulous - great at fact-checking and editing
• Minimum education qualification required
