The Riverdale Press, serving some of NYC’s most vibrant neighborhoods, is looking for an Editor-in-Chief to guide our print and digital content with vision, passion, and journalistic excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a dedicated editorial team, maintaining the highest standards of community journalism
• Shape and execute editorial strategy across print and digital platforms
• Assign and edit stories, from breaking news to in-depth features
• Mentor reporters and cultivate a collaborative, innovative newsroom culture
• Represent The Press in the community — attend events, engage with readers, and build relationships
• Spearhead our digital transformation — grow our online presence and connect with younger audiences

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of journalism experience, with at least some in an editorial leadership role
• Strong writing, editing, and newsroom management skills
• A passion for community news and local storytelling
• Knowledge of SEO, social media strategy, and digital audience engagement
• Ability to juggle deadlines, projects, and a fast-paced news cycle
