About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize our database systems across multiple operating systems and platforms.
The role demands deep technical knowledge of backend data architecture and the ability to maintain seamless database performance with minimal downtime.
Key Role And Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-availability, high-performance database systems.
- Design and implement robust database architectures tailored to user requirements.
- Define roles, manage permissions, and enable secure, timely data distribution.
- Execute and monitor backup strategies using industry-standard tools.
- Tune databases for optimal performance (queries, indexing, configuration).
- Ensure business continuity through proactive monitoring and minimal downtime.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data privacy, security, and integrity.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and version updates as required.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database policies and infrastructure.
- Provide training and technical support to internal teams.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity teams.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA.
- In-depth expertise in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong OS knowledge : Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS), Unix (AIX, Solaris), and Windows Server.
- Proficiency with RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL Server Backup tools.
- Experience with HA and DR solutions (Oracle RAC, SQL AlwaysOn, clustering).
- Strong skills in SQL scripting, performance tuning, and database migrations.
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
