The Edge Production Infra & Connectivity team supports all connectivity & capacity for the Meta product family, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and all future AI endeavors. We are a global team of experienced network professionals who are tasked with driving scalable capacity management solutions, budget efficiencies & synergies across the various network edge layers to sustain organic edge growth in support of the Family of Apps and future Metaverse endeavors. As we both scale our services and look to build the edge of tomorrow, building an efficient network is at the core of what we do. As a capacity manager you'll be using data to make informed decisions on a number of initiatives including monitoring and managing capacity, utilization and reliability of the edge footprint (PoP's/Cache's), oversight of regional health, production vs. forecast discrepancies, engagement with cross functional partners in short and long term growth plans, and finally, driving resource efficiency on the edge.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience managing large scale networks or network projects Experience with network infrastructure, peering, interconnection, BGP, and traffic routing Experience working with data from various data sets (ex: SQL & Hive) and analyze the data to proactively work on issues that may not be clearly defined Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across various stakeholders & leadership Hands-on experience with large datasets and data manipulation platforms. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Experience establishing working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones. Demonstrated experience of trying new approaches, balancing risk and impact for capacity management Understanding of internet infrastructure fundamentals related to content delivery networks and caching
