Job Summary

Project Overview: The E&C Engineer II will act as a project lead or project manager for base capital projects, responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from cradle to grave. This includes Scoping and Justification, Cost Estimating, Planning, Procurement of Goods and Services, Construction Oversight, Commissioning and Turnover, and Project Closeout. The E&C Engineer II will be responsible for Coordinating Construction, Maintaining Project Documentation, Updating Drawings, Managing Project Budget and Forecasting, Supporting Administrative Tasks, Learning Xcel's Policies and Procedures, Collaborative Work with various teams and stakeholders. They will work on projects at hydro and wind facilities in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, develop, and test machines, structures, or systems
• Develop functional requirements for projects
• Apply standard engineering principles to design processes
• Create simulations and prototypes for preliminary design evaluation
• Design and test components for functionality
• Integrate components to produce final products
• Monitor product quality and process efficiency
• Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety
• Investigate root causes of failures to maintain quality standards

Qualifications
