Position Overview
The EBP Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing audits of employee benefit plans to ensure compliance with ERISA regulations and internal policies. This role involves leading audit teams, coordinating with clients, and providing insights to enhance the effectiveness of employee benefit programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee EBP audit engagements from planning to completion
- Lead and mentor a team of auditors in the execution of employee benefit plan audits
- Ensure compliance with ERISA regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain client relationships, providing valuable insights and recommendations
- Prepare detailed audit reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Monitor changes in regulations and best practices to ensure timely updates to audit processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing employee benefit plans
- Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and teams
