Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will provide eastern regional sales representation for Woodgrain by selling and promoting the company’s products to millwork and door distributors and dealers throughout the region while working to promote the Woodgrain brand and its values.


The Eastern Regional Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales process for all customers in the eastern territory. Drive to enhance and grow existing programs and identify new growth opportunities, introduce new product lines, expert understanding of current product line knowledge, supplying customers with literature and pricing, and working with customers to grow and promote the sale of all Woodgrain products, and be the expert and trusted resource for our customer partners while working closely cross functionally with teams at our manufacturing plants, supply chain and customer service to “Make it Happen.”


Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Identify changes in products and markets and opportunities for growth with existing and new customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues to create solutions for company and customer.
  • Communicate effectively across all channels- customers, internally, and with ownership.
  • Prepare and present presentations for customers and dealers for regular training and product knowledge for groups of 5 to 50+.
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge on all products lines- be the expert and own it.
  • Able to read and interpret CAD drawings related to parts and products manufactured.
  • Learn and function within SAP (Woodgrain’s ERP system) in support of the sales process.
  • Regular communication with management in all sales areas, i.e., pricing, service complaints, competition, and new products.
  • Attend sales meetings, plant tours and regional sales conferences / shows.
  • Establish and maintain a regular sales schedule and meeting cadence with all customers. Flexibility in schedule to spend nights out of town with up to 60% travel by both personal vehicle and air travel.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related sales or industry experience/training.
  • 5+ years Sales experience required.
  • Industry experience in doors, millwork, windows, building materials preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with a CRM platform to maintain and report all functional sales duties.
  • Experience with online or client-based quoting software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel used to organize customer pricing files, programs and reports.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margin, interest, proportions, percentages, fractions, and volume.
  • Complete credit inspections with customers. Moving and stacking wood products.


Travel: This position requires travel up to 60% of the time.
