Base Beauty Creative Agency is Hiring! The Earned Media Coordinator will support PR and influencer marketing efforts to help increase brand awareness and engagement. This role will assist in managing media relations, securing press coverage, and building relationships with influencers and KOLs to expand the brand’s presence. The coordinator will help execute PR campaigns, influencer partnerships, and events, ensuring messaging aligns with brand goals. They will also track results, compile reports, and collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing marketing strategies and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
PR & Media Support
Assist in developing creative publicity plans to promote clients.
Support in identifying and connecting with brand experts and partners for media opportunities.
Help brainstorm and draft pitch ideas, thought leadership opportunities, and talking points for media and events in collaboration with the Director.
Prepare talking points and support clients ahead of press visits, conferences, and interviews.
Research and identify industry award opportunities, assist in preparing submissions, and manage follow-ups.
Build and nurture relationships with media contacts.
Track industry trends, monitor media placements, and compile reports on campaign performance.
Marketing Event Support
Support in any event admin tasks and sourcing as needed
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to engage editors, influencers and KOLs for brand events, ensuring alignment with event objectives and brand messaging.
Assist in identifying and inviting relevant influencers and editors to participate in events
Track and report on overall event engagement, providing insights and data to assess impact and ROI.
Influencer Campaign Execution & Management Support
Support the Influencer Manager in coordinating influencer campaigns, including briefing, content review, and tracking asset delivery.
Assist in day-to-day communication with influencers and agencies to ensure smooth collaboration.
Help build and maintain relationships with influencers, creators, and talent agencies for long-term partnerships.
Stay informed on different influencer tiers (nano, micro, mid-tier, macro/KOL, and celebrity) and help identify potential partners.
Brand Expertise
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Client products/ingredients/points of difference
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with your team, via Slack, virtual meetings, in-person meetings, and calls
Have a firm understanding of the media landscape, top publications, and social media platform limitations and capabilities (Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Pinterest, etc) and desire to learn more
Strong creative skills, to be highly detail-oriented and provide unprompted follow-through.
Accountable and organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects.
Best-in-Class Tools
Ongoing expertise building with MuckRack, Brandwatch, Tagger, etc.
Ongoing participation in webinars & trainings to enhance knowledge as these tools update and upgrade their offerings
Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze the performance of Earned team campaigns using key metrics like reach, engagement, and conversions.
Assist in creating monthly holistic reporting to ensure tracking towards client goals to ensure KPIs are meeting or exceeding targets, working with key internal stakeholders
Help gather insights to improve future campaigns and show their impact.
Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends and track media placements, to ensure campaigns remain effective and relevant.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with the marketing, social media, product, and creative teams to align PR efforts with overall brand strategies and objectives.
Work closely with content teams to create compelling press materials, influencer briefs, and other assets that align with brand messaging and campaign goals.
Ensure PR and influencer activities are seamlessly integrated into broader marketing campaigns, including digital, social, and experiential initiatives.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in influencer marketing, digital marketing, PR, or social media management, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries.
PR & marketing experience is required
Must be located in NYC for a hybrid work model
Skills & Competencies
Proven track record of securing media placements and managing influencer partnerships.
Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in media monitoring tools, social media platforms, and reporting software.
A passion for building relationships and a deep understanding of media and influencer landscapes.
Strong current and historical knowledge of the beauty, wellness, and personal care verticals
