General Description: The Dual Enrollment Coordinator will develop and strengthen dual enrollment programs within their assigned territory, building partnerships with high schools, community organizations, and the college’s academic and student services divisions. Serving as a community resource, the coordinator will deliver presentations to inform both internal and external stakeholders about the benefits of dual enrollment.

Duties And Tasks

  • Maintain and expand dual enrollment offerings, working to increase enrollments, FTEs, and headcount annually.
  • Emphasis will be placed on courses leading to the Uniform Certificate of General Studies (UCGS), associate and applied associate degrees, and career studies certificates.
  • Responsible for upholding VCCS policy and NACEP accreditation standards within their assigned territory.
  • Provide guidance for the dual enrollment program under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Dual Enrollment.
  • Work in collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure students’ success.
  • Develop and facilitate informational webinars and in-person presentations.
  • Analyze the progress of students, discussing their short and long-range educational and vocational goals.
  • Provide referrals to support services that will minimize academic barriers for students.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of dual enrollment programs, college opportunities, and the college admissions process and procedures.
  • Skilled in providing academic guidance to students and communicating effectively through oral and written methods, including emails, outreach materials, and presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and work with people at all levels within an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, implement effective tracking methods, and provide leadership with new initiatives.
  • Skilled in working with diverse populations and building cooperative relationships with students.
  • Ability to design and implement programs tailored to high school students.
  • Works independently and can resolve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, organizational, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, email, student information systems, Canva, and Nitro.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in education, counseling, or a related field
  • Experience working directly with students in a high school or college environment

  • Experience utilizing Navigate and PeopleSoft or other student information systems.
