Summary

Supporting the Idea to Retire (I2R) Digital Transformation (DT) workstream, the I2R Technical Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs for our product development team members as they adopt new systems and new ways of working. Collaborate with DT transformational change management (TCM), I2R, and functional teams to assess learning content. Deliver technical training tailored to the needs of our product development and engineering team members. Collaborate with subject matter experts and content creators to enhance training materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and hands-on exercises. Deliver impactful, meaningful, and relevant instruction through a blend of classroom instruction, virtual training, workshops, hands-on sessions, and one-on-one coaching. Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance learning outcomes. Provide support and guidance to employees, helping them troubleshoot technical issues and apply their learning to real-world projects. Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Work closely with Change Management, TCM, I2R, and other DT workstreams, and Organizational Learning and Development to ensure alignment and support for training initiatives. Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics) with 5+ years of proven experience as a technical trainer for complex hardware engineering; or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience. Knowledgeable in the use of product lifecycle management (PLM) applications. Strong understanding of high-tech research and development processes, methodologies, and technologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Proficiency in delivering training materials using tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Teams. Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and leadership levels. Passion for continuous learning. Located within 50 miles of the Tualatin, Oregon (US) or Fremont, California (US) locations and able to travel within the US, up to 10%. Advanced degree in a related field. Advanced experience with Siemens Teamcenter, SAP, and 3D CAD tools. Experience working in complex product development environments with global technical teams, such as engineering and advanced research and development. Experience with learning management systems (LMS), Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) a plus.
