The Associate Manager - Data Governance will play a critical role in establishing and managing data governance frameworks that ensure the integrity, security, and efficient utilization of data across Aramex’s supply chain and logistics operations. This position is essential for driving data governance initiatives that align with the business demands and requirements of the supply chain and logistics sector. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to implement data governance policies and standards that facilitate accurate, reliable, and timely data-driven decision-making.

The overall purpose of this role is to establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks and practices that ensure the effective management of Aramex’s data assets within the supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will ensure that data is accurate, secure, and compliant, thereby enabling the organization to leverage data as a strategic asset. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to deliver impactful data governance solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency in the supply chain and logistics domain.

Job Description

Customer

• Collaborate with internal customers within the Technology division and other parts of the business to understand their data governance requirements and desired outcomes.
• Ensure that data governance solutions meet the needs of business stakeholders, providing them with reliable and timely access to high-quality data.
• Develop data governance frameworks that enhance the ability to analyze customer behavior, preferences, and trends, providing actionable insights to improve customer experience and satisfaction.

• Operations

• Design and implement robust data governance frameworks that integrate data from various sources into analytics and BI platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through rigorous validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Implement and maintain a data catalog to provide visibility into data assets and their usage
• Develop and manage metadata standards and processes to ensure consistent and accurate metadata.
• Use advanced data governance techniques to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize processes and resource allocation.

• Financial Result

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth through data-driven insights and governance solutions, supporting the financial objectives of the organization.
• Create data governance frameworks that enable timely and informed decision-making by business leaders.
• Identify revenue-generating opportunities through data monetization strategies such as offering data governance-as-a-service to Aramex business units and securing customer contracts.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Strong experience in data governance, data quality management, and data protection regulations.
• Experience in establishing a data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for data management.
• Familiarity with data catalog and metadata management tools and practices
• Strong experience with data management and governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with data governance tools and technologies such as Collibra, Informatica, Purview or similar platforms.
• Knowledge an Experience of working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Certifications in data governance and management tools and techniques such as CDMP, CIMP, or similar.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with industry-standard data governance methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
