Job Description

We are seeking a talented Drone Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of flight dynamics and control systems, along with hands-on experience in programming and microcontroller integration.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Dynamics and Control Systems:

• Develop and optimize flight control algorithms.
• Implement PID control loops for drone stabilisation and navigation.

Programming:

• Write efficient code in C/C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate on software development for drone operation and control.

Microcontroller Integration:

• Work with microcontrollers to interface with sensors and actuators.
• Develop firmware for drone hardware components.

Flight Controller Stacks:

• Utilize open-source flight controller platforms such as ArduPilot and PX4.
• Customize and extend functionalities to meet project requirements.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with a team of engineers to design, test, and refine drone systems.
• Participate in problem-solving sessions and contribute innovative ideas.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of flight dynamics and control systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages: C/C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with PID control loops.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with open-source flight controller stacks like ArduPilot and PX4.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
