The Driver Supervisor is responsible for dispatching drivers and vehicles to site locations throughout the day and assisting with vehicle safety checks. The Driver Supervisor Lead may also be required to fill in as a driver on an as needed basis. They are also responsible for ensuring all vehicles are fueled, ready for dispatch.

Compensation:

  • $31.00 - $33.00/ hour with a $2,500 sign on bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise drivers, program support, and other staff.
  • Approve and coordinate special vehicle service requests.
  • Assign vehicles to routes, ensure signage and supplies are current, and verify accurate daily paperwork and fleet updates.
  • Work with Dispatch to manage vehicle changes and ensure accurate driver assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Manager to cover staff absences; serve as backup driver as needed.
  • Train new and existing staff in procedures as required.
  • Support data collection and shuttle operations records; report schedule deviations for payroll accuracy.
  • Conduct ride-alongs to monitor performance, safety, and customer service; follow up on issues.
  • Promote and support safety; assist drivers with DVIRs, HOS, and compliance.
  • Step in for the Location Manager when needed; serve as on-call contact during operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience in a Supervisory role
  • 2+ years related driving experience, i.e. shuttle, routed, or point-to-point transportation using a vehicle with a 10,000 GVWR or greater
  • Excellent defensive driving skills supported by an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Understanding of daily dispatching principles including special event transportation
  • Current Driver's license with a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's license with a P endorsement
  • Current/Active DOT Medical Card 
  • Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite
