Summary

Drilling Field Service Engineer


Salary up to €31'200 plus €60-€150 Euros per site day. There is up to 15 days per month on site


As a field service engineer, you will travel to project locations throughout the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) region to work with their clients on their jobsite locations.


You will be setting up our state-of-the-art Opti-Trac gyroscopic steering system onsite and running it as well as giving the drilling recommendations to our customers to ensure that the boreholes follow the design path and hit the target on the exit side.


All training will be provided to setup and run the Opti-Trac system, as well as training in the equipment and the methodologies to use the various drilling techniques available in HDD to complete boreholes successfully.


This could be a great opportunity for an engineer looking to establish themselves in this fast growing industry.


Working with their small, dynamic and international team in Amsterdam, you will be exposed to the major HDD companies in Europe and beyond, as well as working closely with them on some of their highest profile projects. You will also have exposure to the commercial side of the business as you will be working in the office preparing for projects (eg pre-engineering, tender documents etc) when not in the field.


Job requirements:


• Tertiary Engineering experience (eg Bachelors or Masters degree) preferable.

• Some previous experience with oil and gas or HDD industry would be beneficial but not essential

• Fluent English & Reasonable literacy in other European languages would be beneficial

• Good computer skills required

• Confident personality – you will be mobilized to customers’ projects on your own and will be expected to work with the customer directly and establish a rapport with their crews who often speak limited English.

• An ability to learn quickly – all training will be provided, but education and learning continues long after the training period has officially ended!
