The Draught Vending Service Technician installs, repairs and bills out draught-dispensing and cold vending equipment for the Company’s customers. Assists in ordering and maintaining all of the Company’s draught dispensing & vending equipment, which is provided to customers on a deposit basis. This includes 2 tap coolers, hand taps, draught caddies, Kiosks, 1,2 & 3 door coolers and vending machines.
QUANTIFIABLE POSITION OBJECTIVES
1. Install draught equipment and lines for the Company’s customers
2. Troubleshoot and repair problems with the customer’s draught dispensing equipment and lines
3. Assist in ordering and billing all necessary draught equipment for customer installations and repairs
4. Assist in handling beer related activities for special events
5. Assist in selling the Company’s products and draught lines to retailers
6. Deliver vending equipment and draft trailers to retail accounts
7. Troubleshoot and repair cold equipment in trade when necessary
8. Maintain log of cold equipment placements in territory.
9. Responsible for the cleanliness of their work area and vehicle
PLANNING AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
1. Time management. Work is performed more or less independently, employee reporting to supervisor regularly, once or twice a day.
2. Authority to act with no prior notice, no approval but with reporting required.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: High school diploma or GED
Skills:
Minimum: Strong communication with good time management skills. Experience and knowledge of hand tools
Preferred: Good experience involving maintenance and working with hand tools. Experience or training in refrigeration
Experience:
Minimum: Must be able to travel and pass the MillerCoors Draught Tech Certification workshop training certification every three (3) years
Preferred: Prior work experience in the beverage distribution industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical ability to move cold vending equipment with the assistance of vending dollies in tight locations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of can (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; continuous use of hands and arms to reach for product. The employee is frequently required climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
Most of the work is performed inside. Some of the work is performed inside of walk-in coolers where the temperature is usually below 40 degrees. Work will be performed in basements, under bar tops and possibly crawl spaces.

Must hold a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
When certain jobs involving new construction or custom work may be the case, the draught service technician should assess whether any service work could possibly cause damage at the retailers property. PRIOR APPROVAL IS REQUIRED by both retailer/contractor and WBD management BEFORE any work is started.
