Job Description
As a Drafter, you will play a pivotal role in CAD drafting, engineering, and 3D modeling, significantly influencing the design direction and engineering methods of each assigned project. You will generate, review, and distribute technical drawings and cut files for various projects, ensuring that departmental tasks remain on schedule and are prioritized according to the production timeline.
Additionally, you will support the Digital Fabrication Office with departmental enhancements, new techniques, and standard engineering practices. You will also be responsible for addressing any unexpected challenges that arise.
Responsibilities
* Generate, review, and distribute technical drawings and cut files for assigned projects.
* Ensure departmental tasks remain on schedule and are prioritized according to the production timeline.
* Support the Digital Fabrication Office with departmental enhancements, new techniques, and standard engineering practices.
* Address any unexpected challenges that arise.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in SolidWorks is mandatory.
* Skilled in creating technical drawings, renderings, and cut files using CAD/3D modeling software.
* Ability to interpret project concepts based on sketches, renderings, and/or other provided information.
* Experience in developing technical drawings, renderings, and 3D models in accordance with project budgets, fabrication capabilities, finishing capabilities, and installation requirements.
* Must come from a custom fabrication .
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Knowledge of home building hardware, furniture hardware, cabinetry hardware, retail fixture hardware, signage, and tradeshow hardware.
* Comprehensive understanding of standard & special wood, metal, plastic-based engineered sheet goods, including their applications, properties, dimensions, and availability.
* Competence and awareness of the company's fabrication, finishing, CNC machining, and tooling capabilities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $42.00/hr.
