About The Role:

The Crowd are working with a prestigious and well-established mid-large sized architecture practice. They are seeking a team-focused Document Controller to join their practice in London ASAP on a permanent basis.

This role plays a key part in the company, where you will support across various design teams, aiding project workflow efficiency. The ideal person will have previous experience in a similar role in the architecture/construction/built environment space and will be a natural team player but also have the ability to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt, distribution, and archiving of all drawings and technical documents using various EDMS platforms and internal systems
  • Maintain consistent file-naming and document logging standards across our client’s network
  • Prepare and issue formal drawing submissions
  • Support project teams by coordinating document workflows, tracking deadlines, and preparing materials for issue
  • Collaborate with the wider design teams to align external information requirements with internal standards
  • Provide guidance and training on document control procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of document management tools, practices, and archive systems

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Previous experience in document control within architecture/construction/built environment
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written, numerical, and communication skills
  • Strong time management and task ownership skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, remain calm under pressure
  • Collaborative and friendly team player who also works effectively independently
