Description

As the dispatcher, you are responsible for the performance of our teams of fine art handlers navigating New York City and the greater Tri-State area. You will demonstrate knowledge of general art handling practices, as well as route planning, vehicle maintenance and other logistics functions. A key part of this role is internal communication, as you will serve as a liaison between the teams on the road and the account management teams who work with our clients. Communication must be clear, concise and expedient, primarily taking place via email and teams.

As a senior member of our team, you are an essential part of the general physical operations team, working closely with the Operations Manager and COO to provide exceptional service to the account management teams servicing our clients.

Primary and Secondary responsibilities listed below:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Management of the team of Art Handlers
• Dispatch Teams of Handlers:
• Route Planning and Team allocation
• Coordination of packing projects including materials
• Document review and printing
• Participate in planning process for complex packaging needs
• Manage fleet of vehicles
• Stocking Materials required for Art Handling procedures
• Ensuring handling team compliance through processes related to:
• Documentation
• Digital shipment management systems
• Packaging Procedures
• Vehicle Operation
• Condition Reporting
• Receiving, Release and Check-In
• Coordinate with account management team and leadership to ensure smooth physical operations

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist with Receiving and Release
• Perform additional packing as needed
• Assist compliance team with investigating deviations
• Maintain Inventory of Client property
• Additional upkeep of physical operations spaces
• Retain shipment documentation
