Reason for looking? Backfilling candidates who moved internally to different positions
Location: Tampa preferred Dallas, Jersey or even Boston
This role is focused on making sure the company can recover quickly and smoothly if there’s an IT outage or disaster. You’ll help plan and run practice recovery drills, usually on weekends once or twice a month, and work with different teams to fix any problems that come up. You’ll also keep all disaster recovery (DR) plans and contact lists up to date, help with related projects, and look for ways to make the process better. Strong communication, attention to detail, and staying calm under pressure are key. Basic knowledge of Microsoft tools and IT systems is important, and you may use tools like AI to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
Job Overview
Not highly technical – no coding or direct production support.
Heavy interaction with infrastructure, application, and business teams.
Great communication and written skills, they will be working with different business units, stakeholders, MDs etc
Top 3 Priorities
Strong Communication & Call Leadership:
- Experience managing large-scale calls with a range of stakeholders (SMEs to Managing Directors).
- Ability to lead structured DR exercises involving 100+ participants.
General IT Infrastructure Knowledge
- Understanding of how networks, distributed systems, replicated servers, and/or mainframes support applications.
- Not expected to troubleshoot, but must know how systems fit together.
Runbook & Project Management Experience
- Responsible for creating and managing DR Runbooks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to Power BI is a plus (used for metric reporting and dashboards).
Ideal Background
- Mid-level candidates preferred (5-8 years of experience).
- Could consider slightly less experienced candidates with strong aptitude.
- Background in IT (either infrastructure or applications) is key.
- Any exposure to business continuity, DR processes, or AI/automation initiatives is a bonus.
