  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, sales operations, or corporate strategy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience in managing the strategic planning cycle for a large organization with cross-functional engagement and prioritization and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Experience managing and developing other individuals.
  • Excellent business acumen and the ability to successfully navigate and influence executive business leaders within a complex business environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, and business judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e., written and verbal) and excellent presentation and negotiation skills for internal, executive-level audiences.

About The Job

As Director, you will be responsible for shaping the priorities for the Large Customer Sales (LCS) business in Canada, (including running strategic planning and cross-Google initiatives), ensuring the delivery of these priorities through the management of strategic programs and by ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of sales operations.

In this role, you will manage the Google Canada Strategy and Operations team, and partner with Google’s Country Manager, as well as the Google Canada LCS leadership team and key cross-functional leads. You will also work with the Americas Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership team, to land global initiatives, and identify opportunities for growth and sharing of practices across the Americas.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $269,000-$378,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive sales leaders and cross-functional leaders to develop quarterly and annual business plans.
  • Shape and drive decision making within Google Canada’s LCS and cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Lead a high-performing team to structure and deliver on complex and time-critical large-scale operational improvement initiatives, including highly strategic cross-functional projects for Google Canada.
  • Ensure operational excellence by driving operational cadence and aptitude, optimizing resource allocation across sales teams, objective setting, portfolio management, measuring progress against business goals, and leading sales leadership meetings.
