To apply for this position, do so here: https://universitytulsa.peopleadmin.com/postings/ 8208 Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for managing and administering the annual operating budget for the university and provides leadership and direction to all university budget officers and college Dean’s. Additionally, this position is responsible for all financial month end dashboard, statistical data accumulation and financial reporting. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES : Develops and manages the annual budget process. Provides accurate and insightful financial and strategic analyses to support planning and institutional goals. Supervises, trains, and leads budget officers across the university, assuring institutional compliance with all financial policies and procedures. Coordinates regular communication to the university’s budget officers of current spending versus budget analysis. Identifies and provides oversight for use of restricted funds to areas of potential use. Identifies efficiencies and opportunities to reduce costs/leverage resources/etc. Assists CFO in the forecasting short-range and long-range revenues and expenditures and prepare data for multi-year financial projections and financial analysis. Assists administrators in budget preparation and fiscal matters and make budget transfers and journal entries as needed. Prepares monthly financial dashboards. Responsible for the preparation of all financial reporting for the university and its related organizations. Participates in related committees as assigned. Performs related duties as assigned. Will be called in to perform special projects related to financial reporting and or statistical data as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with BS in accounting. Five (5) years of experience in a related field. Experience with budget development, financial management and accounts oversight. Increasingly responsible experience involving the development and administration of complex and comprehensive budgets and accounting programs.
