Summary

RSP Group are working closely with a Real Estate firm that are looking for a Scheduling Director to provide leadership and management for the Scheduling/Planning department.


Essential Duties:

  • Accountable for driving System buildout and improvements
  • Ensure requirements from business units are adequately translated into a working OPC framework
  • Ensure overall project plan health on the planning system is adequate for execution and minimize downtime
  • Innovate and judiciously utilize resources to create, refine and advance the use of tools and planning system
  • Accountable for buildout and maintenance of SOPs pertaining to Production System
  • Accountable to Finalize stages, sequences and layers for projects
  • Ensure appropriate stages, sequences and layers for projects have been incorporated to build the project plan
  • Responsible for hand-off of Site Plan from Integrated Schedule Lead
  • Accountable to Ensure plan durations are commensurate to site complexity
  • Review plan with Taktical control lead to ensure layer durations are commensurate with master duration library
  • Accountable to Manage OPC, Takt interface, Inspection and Checklist Setup for projects
  • Ensure consistent setup of OPC for projects based on predefined nomenclature for stage, sequence and layers
  • Setup and manage Takt interface dashboard for individual projects
  • Ensure checklists have been conformed to stage, sequence and layers for the project
  • Accountable to Manage OPC hygiene for projects
  • Audit in progress projects to ensure OPC back end data framework is consistent across projects
  • Recommend and implement improvements to OPC workflow based on OSC and Operations feedback
  • Accountable to Manage Taktical Control Lead and coordinators to ensure adherence to standards and guidelines laid down
  • Track production data across multiple projects and manage changes to database in consultation with global OSC Head
  • Support contract & finance with reporting requirements as needed
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Continuous Improvement suggestions for modification to sequences and durations based on actual project data
  • Create data collection parameters to promote workflow improvements
  • Implement hi and lo tech solutions to better communicate on site workflow requirements
  • Lead efforts for depicting plans in 4D with Digital Leads


Expectations:

  • Act as a representative and advocate of company's culture and guiding principles
  • 5 day (Monday-Friday) Physical Co-location
  • Daily Collaboration
  • Evaluate, mentor and assist in the training and development of Taktical Control team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree, or equivalent combination of education and technical/field experience demonstrated over multiple years of related work experience
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in a Lean or other operational functional role (e.g. Planning & Scheduling)
  • Expert understanding of Takt Planning and Control
  • Humble learner; strong sense of curiosity and optimism
  • Proactive self-starter with a growth mindset
  • Excellent reliability and follow-up on commitments
  • Strong ability to coach and mentor Group and Project Leaders on how to engage their teams in continuous improvement. Strong ability to coach and mentor Lean professionals in their roles.
  • Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% to diverse locations in the continental U.S.
