The Director of Sales and Leasing helps build and sustain strong Rental Income revenue. Coordinates and initiates leasing related functions of the community. Implements leasing plans that will meet and exceed the overall Approved Budget census goals and financial objectives. The Director of Sales and Leasing is responsible for overseeing, developing and implementing all leasing functions at the community. The position also requires being able to establish effective working relationships with all staff, Residents and their families, and those individuals involved in organizations that support the senior housing industry. He or she manages all sales efforts for the community, which includes developing and maintaining full occupancy within the parameters of the marketing and Approved Budget.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents and prospects
Gathers and organizes all required information necessary to complete a successful move in so that the appropriate department head (e.g. business office Coordinator) or Executive Director can complete move in paperwork.
Maintains network of referral sources, providing information via marketing materials or presentations as needed
Develops, manages, and monitors new leasing campaigns
Researches, writes, and develops Creative Follow-up
Manages inventory of marketing materials and adheres to set budgets
Conducts CRM research and analyses results as needed
Establishes department goals and ensures all stated goals are met
Conduct tours, luncheons, or other strategies with prospective Residents and prospective Residents groups
When applicable or required, for lead generation, is responsible for conducting sales calls to designated targeted referral sources which may include but not be limited to physicians, hospitals, social workers and community organizations
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
Working knowledge of leasing skills (E.g., Attunement, Connecting, Untangling Emotions, and Advancing to next logical step) as related to senior housing
Excellent communication, social awareness, emotional intelligence, connection, and articulation skills
Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage self to meet fluid deadlines in a customer focused environment.
Strong Discovery skills
Ability to define specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely goals and objectives
Commitment to continuous improvement of leasing and customer service practices while assuring that
completed work adheres to high standards of accuracy and excellence
Highly professional and dependable
Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Social media skills, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc a plus

Motivational Leadership
Education & Experience
College degree in Marketing or a related field preferred
At least two years of direct involvement in a selling oriented environment with preference in sales and marketing of senior living or an equivalent combination
At least one year of supervisory or management experience
