Director of Revenue Management

Position Overview

The Director of Revenue Recognition will lead the revenue recognition function within the organization, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS standards. This role will be critical in managing the revenue recognition process for our software products and services, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue integrity and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 and IFRS standards.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and product teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures for revenue recognition to optimize compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on revenue recognition processes and best practices.
• Prepare and present revenue recognition reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition.
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve revenue recognition processes and systems, including the implementation of SAP or other software solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

• 15+yrs experience in a management role in revenue recognition
• Proven experience in software revenue recognition and knowledge of ASC 606 and IFRS standards.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly SAP, and their application in revenue recognition processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
